North Shore Clean Up November 10th

Aloha all you eco-concious coast huggers!  It’s that time for another clean up with your favorite beach cleanup organizers.  Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii is teaming up with Da Hui for the North Shore Beach Clean-up on November 10, 2012.

This year Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii will be focusing on cleaning the James Campbell Wildlife Refuge in Kahuku.  This coastline is heavily impacted by marine debris and also serves as resting habitat for the endangered Hawaiian monk seal and nesting areas for the green turtle and seabirds.  This zone is not generally open to the public, so this is a rare opportunity to check it out while also making a positive impact on the refuge.

Help the environment

There are a lot of things you can do to reduce your impact on the environment yourself. Plastic bags for instance have a huge impact.

Why not bring your own while shopping?
