Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii has its own transformer, the Education Station. Our mobile classroom is actually a modified 20-foot shipping container. The Education Station opens up and doubles in size for a walk-through, interactive educational experience highlighting the harmful effects of plastic pollution on our coastal environments and what we all can do to keep our beaches clean. It even has a pop-up outdoor movie screen for movie night at the beach.
The Education Station is purpose-built for outdoor events. We use it at our beach cleanups and it’s also available to rent. It’s perfect for hosting workshops, presentations, exhibitions, festivals and any other offsite activity where you can drive a semi truck in to. The Education Station can also be shipped to any of the main Hawaiian Islands.
But if Education Station cannot be utilized, we also do in class presentations. See below.
IN CLASS OR COMMUNITY GROUP PRESENTATIONS
At Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii, we precede most of beach cleanups with an educational tour of surrounding schools. This informative presentation focuses on marine debris, coastal stewardship and single-use plastics. For us, it’s all about solutions. We give presentations to people of all ages, from kindergarten kids to senior citizens, and tailor each presentation for the audience. Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii presents at schools, colleges, nonprofit organization, community clubs and at conventions.
